17th June 1930.

Received from Mr.John Delooze the following documents :-

1. Pass Book No.7919 in the name of Percival Victor Conrad Halliwell, the Derbyshire Permanent Benefit Building Society, showing the amount still owing on the mortgage. In this connection it should be noted that at the Derby-shire Building Society, there is a joint account of Mr.Halliwell and his wife, with a considerable sum to their credit.

2. Letter dated March 27th 1930 from Rolls-Royce Limited advising Mr.Halliwell of the forwarding of cheque in respect of yearly bonus to December 31st 1929. As this bonus was for 14 months ended December 31st 1929 only 6/7ths of the bonus is liable to tax and this point should be dealt with at the time of ascertaining the liability for income tax, for the Income Tax year 1930/31 based on Mr.Halliwell's income to April 5th 1930. Mr.Delooze will help with regard to the ascertainment of the assessable amount.

3. War Savings Certificates - Nos.E1g/617,000, E1g/622576, E1g/622577, E1g/622578, E1g/622579, E1g/622580, E1g/622581, each dated March 13th 1918. Seven in all, at a cost of 15s. 6d. each.

4. Daily Mail Free Insurance dated November 23rd 1926. It would appear that no part of this insurance will be applicable to the present case.

5. Copy of statement apparently having reference to War and National Savings Certificates. It is probable that these are at Mr.Halliwell's Bank, the National Provincial Bank Limited, Derby.

6. Original copy of something which appears to be a record of War Savings Certificates.

7. Original copy of a document in reference to securities deposited with the National Provincial Bank, Stafford, dated June 21st 1921. The securities named on this particular document appear to be the same or to have some connection with the securities deposited with the National Provincial Bank Ltd., Derby, but it would appear from the War Savings Certificate Books that five of the certificates have been cashed.
