TO BY.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer}) FROM E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} HS.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}) "Copy" to GS. E2/M8.10.24. re. GOSHAWK DISC CRANKSHAFT. X4221 Would you kindly send us a blue print giving the dimensions of the disc crankshaft that was tried on the Goshawk? Mr. Royce would like to know if you have anything further to report regarding the behaviour of this shaft in the engine. He understands that no beneficial effects were observed but that the engine at the high speeds was very much the same as with the standard crankshaft. E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} Handwritten note: By.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} has sent blueprint but is expecting you to report, as they have not sufficient information.
