YS840 Hotel de France, Chateauroux, Indre, France. To: "He" From: G.W.Hancock. Re next 20 HP. car out here for 10,000 miles test, we should be very much obliged if you could give us a date upon which you expect this car to come over here, so that we can make our private arrangements. Also re my verbal talk to you on the men here at present returning, the fact may have been overlooked that if the 20 HP. is here whilst we are away they will require another tyre fitter. I mentioned this so that perhaps you could arrange for Greatorex to come out here during the holidays to relieve W. Thornhill. This is necessary, as I have definitely promised Thornhill to go home for the holidays, as he has had a long spell here without a break. If I may suggest I think the better policy would be to hold the 20 HP. car up until after the holidays, then to start in full swing with the two cars over here, as I could then arrange my drivers to a better advantage. I shall be pleased to hear your opinion. I am letting Butler go home a week earlier, as he wants to be present at his sister's wedding, for that period I shall take his place and do the driving. Mr. Croydon received a new insurance card this week end, this was sent by Miss Gill, but we wish to notify you that the number of this ticket was I.38B, and not 16276. If we had not noticed this, we should not have known which was the new card, as both cards have that number on, which is the Motor Trade policy No., not the ticket number. We are returning No. 1229 to you, as requested. Re our oil supply here, we should like to know if you have fixed up, as we requested, for us to obtain our oil supply direct, without having to trouble you at Derby. We have one barrel of oil left here, but we should like to be getting some more stock in. G.W.Hancock, | ||
