14" DIA. REAR BRAKES ON PH.III.

We need one set of brakes to RR.Sch.995, but modified to take iron drums and cast steel (or forged) shoes. We have the brakes built, but they are at present fitted with aluminium drums and shoes.

The new parts required are -

(1) A drum having the same profile as the present one, with cast-in end plate, the latter to fit on to existing hub G.85587/8. Slight modification may be made to the profile of the drum, i.e. the ribs need not be taper and may be reduced to 1" in height, to save weight.

(2) Cast Steel shoes, interchangeable with the present ones, MR.3 Ferodo Liners.

Will you please prepare the necessary drawings, and instruct one set for 39-EX chassis.
