Specification 14.B.V.
CONTINENTAL BENTLEY.

Herewith a specification to which 14.B.V. should be built. We are anxious to get forward with this car as quickly as possible, so in certain cases where special parts for this chassis are not designed, standard B.V. parts will have to be used to get the car on the road.

Gearbox & Actuating Gear. To By/CM.2/H.7.9.38. No (d). Overdrive ratio, and 'Buick' type synchromesh FD.{Frank Dodd - Bodies}340 Rg.{Mr Rowledge} casting for box and clutch pit.

Front Shaft & Univ. Joints. 1350 type joints GGN.1061.

Rear axle. FD.{Frank Dodd - Bodies}312 40 m.m. shafts. 11/41 ratio (11T43 to be ready also, works have cutter for same Rg.{Mr Rowledge} centre case (machine inside of tubes to .125 thick).

Front Hubs. A.C. bearings from..

Petrol Pump. S.B.1936.

Petrol Tank. Scheme being prepared by Da{Bernard Day - Chassis Design}/Ev.{Ivan Evernden - coachwork}

Petrol Piping & fittings. 5/16" dia. pipe all through.

Dashboard & Fittings. Dashboard to FD.{Frank Dodd - Bodies}309, FD.{Frank Dodd - Bodies}315. contour FCD.1098.

Wing Stays & Fittings. To FB.3664.

Air Silencer. R.C.D.930 Centre outlet.

Exhaust System. R.C.D. 944/968/969/975. Material to be decided upon at a later date.

Flywheel & Clutch. U.C.D. 1065 (except for outer ring to Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}370).
