Coverley - Production Engineer} Da.{Bernard Day - Chassis Design}1/HP.9.5.35. 20/25 Rear Axle - J.3. Hypoid Gears. We have now been able to inspect the actual 20/25 Hypoid gears run in the previous 10,000 miles test, and find that they can be used in the new hypoid rear axle casing shewn on N. Sch.4471, by providing - (1) A special flange coupling for universal joint. (2) Special nut for thrust bearing. (3) A sleeve between thrust bearing and pinion shaft. (4) A special bridge piece to suit the 20 m/m roller bearing which the existing pinion requires. We have shewn this on N. Sch.4486 herewith. Da.{Bernard Day - Chassis Design} | ||
