TO ~~BY~~. FROM E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} Copy to - ~~Col.~~ ~~R.G.~~ HS.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} ORIGINAL E2/M9.11.25. RR. E.16. OIL FITTINGS. Y3808 No further instructions for oil fittings will be sent from here for Eagle 16. We are expecting you to make the simple connections necessary for the test engine between the fittings and connections shewn on our scheme for the oil supply and the parts to be lubricated. At the front end of the engine it will be necessary to lead 4 pipes from the four banjo connections on the cam-shafts to the forward looking union on the low pressure oil chamber. At the rear end of the engine it will be necessary to lead pipes from the connections on the gas starter tower, the supercharger, and the petrol pump gland to the rearward looking union on the low pressure oil chamber. We note that the Air Board specification you sent us states that no oil pipes should be used of less than .250" bore, and should be glad if you would arrange for this piping system to comply with that condition.
