Dear Mr. Clark,

I have returned from my holiday and have tried the 40/50 fitted with the clutch control after your improvements to it. I think it is definitely better although there are still points that can be criticised.

We will, however, fix the clutch up without any spring in the take up, and let you have it back as soon it can be conveniently arranged.

We have heard very good accounts of the brake linings you use which we believe is of the same material as that on the Borg & Beck clutch. We should be glad if you would let us know who manufactures this material in order that we may get in touch with them so that we can try it ourselves.

On your last visit you were talking about Standard cars. Can you let me know which is the best car in their range, as I have a friend who is considering purchasing one.

Yours faithfully,

FOR ROLLS-ROYCE LIMITED.
