RHC.{R. H. Coverley - Production Engineer} c - Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} X6079 BY/RD6/W.13-4-31 RECEIVED 1931 APR HS{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} Re :- 40-50 H.P. Chassis. Starter Motor. It is proposed to disconnect the Bijur oil supply system from the Starter Motor owing to the Damper Cylinder becoming full of oil, also sluggish operation in cold weather, and to use self-lubricating bearings made of grapholoy. We send you herewith two Blue Prints of each of the following :- D.73317. Bush for Bearing Housing. D.73318. Dashpot. Will you please have three of each put in hand and fitted to Starter Motors on experimental cars. The Bijur plugs should be removed and the holes blanked off with :- F.79464. Alum.Washer. 2 off. F.81826, Set Screw. 2 off., this blanking off,of course, being a temporary measure for the test. We suggest that the banjos be removed from the Bijur piping and the pipe sealed up. BY/RD. | ||
