(1) COMPLAINT RE SLOW RUNNING ON WATFORD E.6 MAGNETOS.

Reference H1/TB7.12.21 to Hm.{Capt. W. Hallam - Head Repairs}

The Works Committee met today to discuss the above question with reference to Minute I of Midland Hotel Derby Conference dated 6/9/21 which reads as follows:-

" It was agreed that if an owner insist we will fit the Bosch Magneto for him, but he must pay for the Bosch Magneto he wishes to be fitted, also time and labour, and will not get rebate on the Watford already on his chassis."

In view of the above Minute the Works Committee were of the opinion that it would not be right for them to propose that Capt. Hallam should spend any money at all on complaints with regard to Watford Magnetos of the E.6 type.

It was recommended by the Works Committee that Mr.Whitehead should try and arrange for a meeting between himself, Capt.Hallam and Mr.North of the Watford Magneto Co. with a view to trying to arrange with Mr.North that some agreement should be come to that Watford Magneto Co. should replace a certain number of E.6 type of Magneto which we have in stock at present, free of charge, with the E.O.6 type.

Of course it would only be in the cases of really serious complaints that Messrs Watford would be asked to replace the present E.6 type of Magneto with E.O.6 type.

Mr.Whitehead stated that at the present moment there were 311 of the E.6 type Magneto either in stock or on chassis.

(2) SHUTTERS IN FRONT OF RADIATORS.

CJ2/H5.12.21 to Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}

These instructions were read out at the meeting today.
