G.W.Hancock, Esq., Hotel de France, Chateauroux, Indre, France. *5840 Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Wn.1/KW.15.11.34. 20/25 HP. Performance. Sr. is complaining that the new 20/25 he has in France is not up to the performance of his previous car. London have been making similar observations. The main trouble appears to be that in spite of information we have given them on the improvement which they ought to expect from the new carburetter, they have got the idea into their heads that the behaviour of the car is going to be revolutionised by the changeover. Actually, the new carburetter gives about 3 m.p.h. increase in top speed, and better acceleration from 40 m.p.h. upwards. Below 40 m.p.h. we do not expect to be either better or worse than the present car. We should like you to run 21-G-IV up to Paris after you have had it a day or two and made sure that everything is in good order, and go over this matter of performance with Sr. We are writing to Sr., and attach a copy of the note.
