Gordon Armstrong, Esq.,

YORKS.

Dear Mr. Armstrong,

I asked Mr. Bogg yesterday if you could let us have prices for your dampers to your Drawing 469-Z for an order of a 1,000 dampers with delivery at the rate of 50 dampers a week.

Although we are particularly interested in the aluminium castings, we should also like to know what saving would be made by using Mazak. We should like allowance to be made for split intermediate levers and a casting for the top cover. Main levers to 453-Z. I am sending you full particulars of intermediate levers and bolts in case these might help to improve the appearance of your lever.

On the dampers for 6.B.IV. we have had oil leaks from the discs in the smaller bearing. We hope you are quite satisfied with this disc.

We also hope that you are satisfied with the plugs for the high pressure transfer passages. We have not had any more of these blown out.

We are having your pattern altered to your instruction, and then 24 more casting. There are also 4 castings to the present pattern about to be despatched, so we should like you to proceed with the other parts of all these dampers. This we hope will satisfy our ever-increasing demand. I will let you know about main levers later.

How long do you think it will take to produce the die for casting the casings ?
