-9- eyes from observing the road is required. Chassis number and R.R. monogram or design is considered essential on instrument board. It might be placed in the centre of the triangle formed by the three smaller instruments, thus: 19. Autovac tank. The autovac tank and Klaxon horn brackets have been combined on this car. We do not think the tank is as nice as the cylindrical one, and as it overhangs the exhaust pipe one would anticipate it to get hotter. The capacity of the cylindrical tank is 1.023 galls. compared with 1.2 galls. of the one fitted to 7-EX. We doubt whether the extra capacity is necessary. Noted. It is desirable that petrol should not become overheated. No objection is seen to former rank. 20. Rear brake adjustment. The leather covers for the rear brake adjustment have been replaced with metal covers. The leather covers we fit had a very short life if the car was used in France, because they became destroyed by stones. On the 'V' series cars the N.S. hand brake adjustment cover is also burnt by the exhaust. Noted. 21. Throttle. The control for the throttle is made to the latest Le C. and is mounted on ball bearings. Noted but not tested. | ||
