-8- 15. Petrol tank. (Cont'd.{John DeLooze - Company Secretary}) other means adopted to prevent casual operation. 8. The cap filler is "cheap" in appearance, and we have had complaints that it admits dirt and water. We should far prefer to retain the 'U' Series model. 16. Petrol level indicator. At present only a temporary dial is fitted to the petrol level indicator. The intention is to use white porcelain face and black letters. At present the dial is marked, disregarding the reserve compartment. In case of cars on the Continent, this may cause inconvenience because it will not show the correct amount for the petrol. Noted. This will be dealt with when final model in its correct position is available for inspection. 17. Grouped instrument board. The instruments fitted to this car were only temporary. It is proposed to use instruments with a silver finish and black letters. The black faces and silver letters are preferred. These should all be of same type and of a size and boldness proportionate to the diameter of the dial. 18. Instrument board controls and shutters. These are the latest type made to arrangement drawing E.73679. It is assumed that the grouped instrument board will be placed exactly centrally on the dashboard and not out of centre in its present very ugly position, and the mechanism of the shutter controls altered so that it may be placed elsewhere. The speed indicator could then be placed on the right-hand side and would be observed through the upper left hand quadrant of the wheel.
