To AJS. from Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} X3829 Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}15/LG5.3.26. BEARING TESTS. We are very sorry that we have not given you results of the bearing test before. The difficulty has been that we have had no room to keep this test going. The new extention is just about completed. We have got all our tackle ready and will promise you results quickly. As a matter of fact we have run one test of 24 hrs. at 1950 revs. with a load of 1600 lbs. These were the first size of bushes with the spherical mounting for the weight. This is a better result than we have obtained previously. We cannot say yet whether it is the better method of holding the weight or whether it is due to the bigger mass of metal getting rid of the heat better. We will however let you have some more information shortly. Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} | ||
