-2- Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/FD.{Frank Dodd - Bodies}1/KW.28.11.34. The front springing is very good, no maximum bump was felt during the test, the whole of the front of the car is quite steady. These are the car's best features. The rear springing is not good for fast work, there is insufficient damping over slightly rough roads. In braking over rough surfaces or on corners, where the conditions are uneven, the axle judders badly. Driving at fast touring speed on a twisting road shows that the rear of the car skids from side to side. Town riding should be good, although the rear seat position was not tried. The body is quite free from rattles, but there is an appreciable amount of wind noise coming from the front corners of the body. This I would put down to ventilator slides which protrude from the top of the doors. The weight of this car, full of petrol, oil, and water is - T. c. q. lbs. Front 15 1 0 Rear 16 0 0 Total 1 11 0 21 It was notice during the test that the axle was noisy on the overrun, but figures were not taken of engine or other periods as time did not permit.
