Referring to Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Wst.2/MA.29.2.36 I should be glad to know whether you have received the Marconi Wireless set free for test or whether we have bought it. I hope not as I do not think there is any need for us to keep on buying different makes of sets unless we know that there is something outstanding about them.

The best results that I have heard up to the present time are from the Philips 246B set as fitted to Mr.Sclater Booth's Rolls-Royce car. The reults. are outstandingly good. It is not only the set but partly the method of installation.

I have had the latter copied by their electrician (Hooper's) on my car with considerably improved results but not nearly as good as the Philips set on Mr.Sclater-Booth's car, which shows that it is the set and not the installation.

I want us, however, to learn by the results obtained and shall be asking Cx.{Major Len W. Cox - Advertising Manager} to get in touch with you regarding our adoption of the method of installation, as used on mycar, which I know from experience has considerably improved it as compared with what it was.
