Re. WIRELESS SETS.

Replying to your Sg.{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD}7/E.3.3.36., the Marconi Wireless set was supplied to us free for test and we have since returned it to them owing to the fact that we do not consider it to be any better in performance than other sets we had tried.

We are interested to hear of the results you have obtained with the Philips set on your car and it would be a great help to us to have the fullest details on the method of installation adopted by Hoopers Electrician. Whilst we agree you may be getting good results with the installation on your car we would like to point out that in our experience the characteristics of cars vary so much that it is almost impossible to guarantee the same results on any individual car by adopting any particular method of installation. As an instance of this Messrs.Philco told us that on Vauxhall cars it was possible to obtain entirely different results from two cars which left the same assembly line, and although careful measurements were taken it was impossible to determine the cause of the variation in performance.
