| To RHC.{R. H. Coverley - Production Engineer} +228 Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}13/KW. 7.9.34. Magnesium Parts. The gearbox and clutch pit on the open Bentley successfully completed 10,000 miles. Before standardising Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} is anxious to have more experience and wishes to get them on several cars. Will you therefore please put three magnesium gearboxes and clutch pits in hand. With regard to dashboards etc., we think we should certainly have some castings in hand, as the main problem about magnesium in places such as these is not whether it will stand up but its susceptibility to corrosion etc. Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} | ||
