Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} X1047 To Wor.{Arthur Wormald - General Works Manager} from Sg.{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD} Copy to E.Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} Sg{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD}13/E24.7.35 You will doubtless be interested to know that Alfa Romeo's last year lost 1.75 million lire which on the rate of exchange of 60 lire to the £ figures out about £30,000. You have doubtless also noticed that MG's have given up racing. The official reason is given that they have learnt enough from it but I expect the real reason is that Lord Nuffield came to the conclusion that it was costing very much too much! Sg.{Arthur F.
