To HY. {Tom Haldenby - Plant Engineer} from BY. {R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} C RE COMPOSITE (REPAIR) AXLE TUBE FOR SERIES 1700 TO ADVENT OF G.4822/3. Referring to Mr. Royce's memo R6/B13117, there are three tubes to test as specified, and in the following order:- (a) G.4822/3 is to be tested first as a standard of comparison. (b) The new built up repaired tubes to be tested. (c) The original axle tube out of which (b) was made is to be tested. This tube will be say, 2100 type, G.2103/4. BY. {R.W.
