X 5660 FIXED CONDUCTANCE DYNAMO TESTS. 20 H.P. Tests have now been carried out in accordance with EFC5/T7.4.25. Test 1a. Speed to maintain 16.0 volts on the dynamo terminals for various external conductance. Conductance. Dynamo r.p.m. Car m.p.h. O 683 9.35 .25 775 10.6 .50 895 12.25 .75 1145 15.7 Test 1b. Open-circuit volts and speed for 6.0 amperes field current. Speed 965 r.p.m. = 13.2 car m.p.h. Dynamo volts 26.0 . Test 2. Minimum conductance to restrict dynamo voltage to 16.0. This was found to be .845 the main amperes being 13.5. The value previously found and reported in AC.43 was .813 mho for the cold condition. In each case above the machine was cold in order to produce the extreme conditions required. For hot condition minimum conductance was found to be .655 mho. RJA. | ||
