| S/W Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}..from C. [Handwritten] File General Foo C4/C22.1.41 [Handwritten] Re B-V.{VIENNA} With reference to our conversation on the telephone recently, when you said you would like two more completed B-Vs{J. Vickers}, I have had the whole position of the uncompleted chassis looked into again, and I think I cannot do better than enclose a copy of the report, together with the lists of the missing parts on the most forward of these chassis. Perhaps you will please let me know what the possibilities are of your supplying some of the parts to complete, and if you have any preference in regard to the bodywork. There is another one, and that is a chassis at Youngs of Bromley with a body on it in the panel stage which Jack Barclay is slowly finishing and the chassis of that I believe lacks only the bonnet. Jack Barclay wants to buy this, but only as a spare car in case his present B-V breaks down, which seems to me hardly useful for our purpose. We have suggested he might like to buy the Young of Bromley to use himself and we would buy back the old one, because if you do not want it I think we might quite profitably use it at Park Wards and it might give them interesting information regarding the steel body. He is not agreeable to this, but there is no necessity to make definite arrangements at the moment because he is getting on with the Young body and when that is ready we can tell him definitely what we are going to do.
