S/W Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} To BY from Sg.{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD} [struck through] Copy to Wor.{Arthur Wormald - General Works Manager} Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} x728 re Anti-Resonant Silencer Patents. I am in receipt of BY.7/G.24.4.33 and note that, if British patents are granted to General Motors, we shall have to pay them a royalty in view of the fact that we so closely follow their general scheme as to constitute an infringement of their claims. The proposed royalties seem quite reasonable. If, therefore, British patents are granted them, I agree and presume that you will then put the matter in the hands of Wn. so that it can be fixed up in the usual way. Sg.{Arthur F.
