C.J.

you mention, and with a view to giving you as much information as possible, we enclose quotation E.25926 giving detailed particulars and prices of the gear put forward.
Both wheels you will note would be machined from the solid steel bar, and our price covers for wheels of normal design, and we have included a chain length to suit a direct centre distance of 24". It would be necessary of course to provide some means of adjustment, as in view of the vertical position of the drive it is important that the chain be kept free from slack.
We might add that if you care to let us have some further details of the application as called for on the enclosed enquiry form, we shall be pleased to go further into the matter and make sure that the most suitable gear has been selected for the conditions.
In the meantime we are sending under separate cover a sample of the chain suggested for your inspection.

The price they quote for the chain is £2-3-11, price for the small wheel is 15/9, large wheel £1-8-9, making a total of £4-8-5 - 10% discount 8/10, total £3-19-7.
We would be glad to hear whether you think we should order this class of chain, and if so, if you have any suggestion for carrying
