Re Improvements to Universal joints engine couplings, see Mr Royce's sheet dated 4.7.12
With our present spherical ends, the end thrust is not taken on these blocks, and I presume therefore this experiment should not be tried on such.
Cars up to 1600 were however, fitted in such a manner, instructions therefore should be issued for such to be tried on a car of this type, trials car no. 1601 would be a good one for this experiment.
