12-3-37. SUPPLEMENTARY REPORT ON TEST No. 753.B. (3). Wakefield's Castrol Hi-press specially manufactured for use on American cars. HYPOY A complete bearing LJ.12 and a brass cage were placed in separate vessels and covered with the oil as specified above. These were left for three weeks and then taken out and examined. No signs of staining were evident on any of the components as we were led to expect by Mr. Evans of C.C. Wakefield & Co. Ltd., and this is an interesting fact, as when this oil is used on automobile transmissions it has been found necessary to isolate the bearings from the oil. - | ||
