6009 To Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/IMW.{Ivan M. Waller - Head of Chateauroux} from Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/Wym.{G. Harold Whyman - Experimental Manager} (Chateauroux) Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/Wym.{G. Harold Whyman - Experimental Manager}5/MH.{M. Huckerby}15.2.38. 26.G.VI EXHAUST SYSTEM. Replying to your memo Chateauroux 2/13.2.38 we are sending you a length of 2.00" dia. pipe and 2 - 2.00" flanges to fit to the front intermediate pipe. If you carry out the instructions contained in the enclosed sketch it should get you out of your present trouble. It is our intention to dispense with as many flanged joints as possible on the Wraith car owing to the heavy fitting charges during erection on production. Further modifications are being made to the other sliding joints to prevent blows. Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/Wym.{G. Harold Whyman - Experimental Manager} | ||
