We thank you for your letter of the 17th instant. We are now clear with regard to the skirt form which you require for the production pistons against your order No.89437. With regard to Pistons outstanding for your test programme, the following is the position:- P.461. (Split Skirt). These Pistons will be ready for grinding on Tuesday, and we suggest sending six by post to you on Wednesday, so that you could put them in the experimental engine as soon as possible to determine what kind of marking our grinding will give. This of course is entirely our own idea, and if the position is such that you would prefer to have the whole quantity ground to the form which we have decided upon for the initial test, kindly let us know and we will do so. P.451A. (Aerolite Type). Delivery Monday 1st May. EW.2115. These also will be ready for grinding on Wednesday, but as your remarks [Watermark: NOMAD TUB-SIZED] | ||
