EAC. 8. VACUUM TANK. X.4400 X.7510 X.7500

We send herewith N.sch.2108 shewing the vacuum tank suitable for the new dashboard. It will be noticed that it no longer goes through the dashboard, and so a certain amount of body trouble is eliminated.

The capacity as drawn is slightly less than before as R.{Sir Henry Royce} considers that we shall shortly be making use of a vacuum pump in place of the induction pipe suction. The first cars can however be run without this pump if necessary.

R.{Sir Henry Royce} wishes to use a cork faced tap in place of the present needle valve, and we have taken our particulars off Benton & Stone's catalogue - tap No.3069., being the particular one of which we have had a sample. We should like you to see whether Benton & Stone would make us a tap as we have designed it, making use of the rotor of 3069. We have addeda drain plug and sediment collecting sump as we believe there is a certain demand for this, and it will be noticed that the petrol can now be turned off from the rear of the dash.
