To EP.{G. Eric Platford - Chief Quality Engineer} from E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} c. WOR.{Arthur Wormald - General Works Manager} Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} BY.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} PBS. E.1/HP.6.5.33. re 20/25 HP Car. GEX.53. Referring to your memo EP{G. Eric Platford - Chief Quality Engineer}/Thn.12/H3.5.33, both of these points you mention, namely, noises due to the contraction of the silencer and also spitting in the silencer, are dealt with in J.3. chassis, but without extensive design changes on the 20/25 we cannot say they can be overcome on current models. It, therefore, remains to make the best of what we have at the moment, in anticipation that these troubles will be eradicated with the adoption of J.3. E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} | ||
