| To Hd.{Mr Hayward/Mr Huddy} from Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} x262 Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}22/KW.20.8.36. B-216-GA. Mr. E.R. Hall. E.R. Hall has made further complaints about this car. One is that he says it detonates excessively. We shall be glad if you will try the ignition governor which we hand you herewith, and see if it produces any improvement. Another complaint is valve clatter. Is this up to the average Bentley which you have in; if not, can we make any improvement by changing the valve springs ? The brakes are squeaking. Can we rectify this by adjusting the Hancock shoe ? There is a knock on the front engine mounting. In our experience this is usually due to lack of lubrication on the front engine pivot. Will you see if you can eliminate by lubrication.
