Wraith Chassis Fan - Section 5220.

Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/Std.2/R.11.3.37.

We have superficially compared the designs for the Wraith Fan as follows:-

LeC.5552 which has a cast iron bracket with an eccentric spindle.

R.R. Scheme 1045 which has cast Aluminium bracket with concentric spindle.

Our opinion is that LeC.5552 is definitely the cheaper scheme, and consider that it would show a factory cost saving of approximately 4/= per chassis over the R.R. scheme 1045.
