We send herewith N.Sch.4929 showing modifications to the hand brake lever to allow of an extra 3" of travel at the handle. The existing travel of 7.750" becomes 10.750" with the new lever. The object of the increase is to allow of a higher leverage. We suggest a leverage of 84:1 obtained mainly by increasing the length of the lever on the countershaft to 2.750" from 2.050".
