SUMMARY OF TEST.
EAC. CARBURETTER.
The attached report in connection with the EAC. carburetter explains the difficulties we encounter when we attempt to use a larger carburetter or work with a lower depression than the standard 40/50 HP.
The tests confirm the experience gained on the Kwave and 20 HP. carburetters, that we cannot depart from the 40/50 proportions if we wish to retain correct metering over the whole range of conditions.
As regards the EAC., it will be seen by the power curves that a loss of 2 to 3% in power we can overcome the difficulties and retain the same characteristics as we have on the 40/50 carburetter.
We are recommending that all the EAC. carburetters should be made with the 40/50 proportions.
