W/S copy to Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/NRC.{N. R. Chandler} 1800 HRC fil Wm Br2/LS.15.10.37. re Recurrent Clutch Failures on 20/25 h.p. Chassis. Chassis GOH-3 - Mr. Halperin Chassis GHG-27 - Sir Bernard Eckstein. We have this week fitted the latest Cleveland Bronze Clutch Facings to the above two cars, both of which had burnt out their clutches several times. The Experimental Department is very anxious to be kept advised as to the behaviour of these two cars in the customers' hands. Therefore, may I suggest that these customers be followed up by an inspector in the near future, and possibly once or twice afterwards, to see if the clutches are remaining satisfactory. We feel that these two are very good cases for observation, as there is no doubt that these cars have been subjected to very rough handling as far as the clutch is concerned. Br [Signature] | ||
