Messrs. Joseph Lucas Ltd.,

Birmingham.

Dear Sirs,

Re Magneto with Automatic Advance for our 40/50 Chassis, and combined chemical leak and annular spark gap.

Answering your letter ref. EOT/4 received just before the holidays, we note that you are making up a sample magneto which you will submit to us in due course, this machine to be as nearly as possible in accordance with our specification already handed to you, (dated 27.5.24).

We also take this opportunity of thanking you for the combined Rose Bengal chemical resistance and annular spark gap which you were good enough to send to us. We have already made a certain number of tests with this apparatus and have appreciated the low temperature coefficient and the constancy of the resistance over long periods.

As we think it would be of considerable value to us to possess this apparatus, i.e. if you can spare it, perhaps you would be good enough to send us a quotation for this.

Yours faithfully,

FOR ROLLS-ROYCE LIMITED.
