X.4645. ALCOHOL-ROSE BENGAL CHEMICAL LEAK FROM DR. TURNER. CHECK OF RESISTANCES.

The resistance of the above leak at various positions of the plummet in the solution, has been observed and tabulated against the value specified on the scale, at a temperature of 23.5°C:-

Scale reading
micromhos.

Actual observed
resistance (ohms).

Specified
resistance
(Corrected for temp.).

Nominal
resistance at 15°C.

It will be seen that at the position of about from 3.5 micromhos to 4.0 micromhos the resistance of liquid is about correct to the scale reading.
