| HOTEL DE FRANCE. CHATEAUROUX. Indre. France. GWH{George W. Hancock - Head Chateauroux}/7/JAB. 24th August 1935. To. Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} From. G.W.H. 3.S.I.- SPECTRECodename for Phantom III. We have got the Engine running again, and as far as we can tell, there is no reason why we should not carry out the trip to Italy. We had a strenuous time getting the Valve seat out of the Cylinder head but managed it at the end. The fitting of the bearing to the crankshaft was fairly easy. Apart from the Pistons over-oiling, the Engine is running well. Oil pressure is not quite as high as we should like approximately 23 lbs. at 65 MPH. We shall be leaving here Tuesday morning. J.{Mr Johnson W.M.} Pepper is returning to-morrow, and F.W. Smith will be returning at the end of next week. | ||
