In my memo of the 19th August, will you please point out to me where I mention 5 lbs. main oil pressure. I said plain enough that the pressure having dropped from 30 lbs. to 20 lbs. does not leave sufficient pressure to pass oil through the filter for the tappets, and the tappets do not receive sufficient oil.
With the filter removed ( for the tappets) with 20 lbs. main oil pressure, we only get 2 lbs. pressure in the tappet supply pipe. The pressure was taken from the end of the tappet pipe line in the vee.
Our Filter is a standard element star type.
We shall have sufficient oil pressure now we have replaced N° 2 jurnal bearing, which at the time of reporting, we had no idea that it had failed.
