TO _BE._ FROM EV.{Ivan Evernden - coachwork} EV{Ivan Evernden - coachwork}1/4.2.30. x7260 x7880 x7500 x7770 COPY TO _SS.{S. Smith} HS.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} DN._ _REVISED BONNET & DASH._ _PHANTOM 2._ You will have seen our criticisms of the bonnet, radiator and dash fitted to Sir Henry Segrave's car, and made to our N.Sch.2951. We are sending to you herewith N.Sch.3027. shewing a modified dashboard shape, which we believe will correct the slope of the bonnet side hinge, and at the same time remove the twisted appearance of the top panels of the bonnet. The changes are:- (1) Dashboard reduced from 40.600/ in width to 40.500. (2) Height of side hinge at dash reduced by .475.ins. (3) Radii of the top of the dash changed. We have already instructed that the Continental Touring Car should have the Revised Bonnet and Dash to N.Sch.2951. We have today instructed Messrs Barker & Co. to work to the modif-ications shewn herewith, so that we shall require the modified revised dashboard on this chassis. Will BY.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} please obtain DA{Bernard Day - Chassis Design}'s signature to this design if he has not left Derby before it arrives. We would like you to send us _three_ prints of this scheme. EV.{Ivan Evernden - coachwork} | ||
