We have seen Park Ward & Co. about their invoice for the renovation of this car. They have, of course, all along contended that their charges were for work for which they considered we should pay and that they have themselves borne the cost of any work which might be attributed to defects in construction or material. Moreover they have claimed that their charges represent the net cost of the work. Our recent further investigations have satisfied us that, in the circumstances - including the fact that there was quite a lot of overtime put in - their charge of £129.11.8d. is not unreasonable and, with C.'s approval, we are passing the account for payment.
