Chassis No. 28-EX.

We have been over the enclosed account with Park Wards.

We do feel that the charge of £129. 0. 0d. is too much. On the other hand, there is no doubt that this is more than it would be in the ordinary way because Park Wards worked overtime on the car for our benefit. We think that in view of the fact that the treatment of the car can hardly be considered to have been fair wear and tear, as in many cases it had been used for shock absorber tests with excessively high poundages, we cannot hold them responsible for all the defects, although there is no doubt that several features on the body showed up badly.

As a compromise we recommend that we should pay them £100. They ought to have learnt something from the test.
