W/S H.{Arthur M. Hanbury - Head Complaints} from Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} X1588 Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}6/LG9.1.23. RE. MIRACLE OIL. We have analysed Miracle Oil and have found nothing about it that would justify the claims put forward by the makers. We have no reason to believe that a car will not run equally as well with Miracle oil as without it. There is one point in its favour - as you are aware we have considerable trouble on the 40/50 with valves and valve guides wearing excessively - if a certain quantity of lubricating oil is mixed with the petrol it does have the effect of lubricating the inlet valves and guides. It is not necessary to use Miracle oil, the ordinary engine oil has the same effect. We are running a test on experimental cars to see whether there is any manifest disadvantage. If you have a car which you have continuously under your own observation, we should like you to try ½ pt. of lubricating oil to 20 galls. of petrol. Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} | ||
