To RHC.{R. H. Coverley - Production Engineer} from EFC. X6096 EFC1/T23.12.26. SPECIAL SPRINGS FOR BATTERY IGNITION CONTACT BREAKER TO GIVE BIGGER PRESSURE ON POINTS. -- -- -- To make matters clear as to what is actually required in this connection, we require the springs to be made of 23 SWG. gauge material in place of the 24 SWG. as at present. We require the natural shape of the spring to be such that it requires a 30% greater force, i.e. a force of 2.75 lbs. to compress the spring to the shape given by the drawing, instead of the 2.125 lbs. as given on the drawing for the 24 gauge material.
