The softer dynamo rubbers (30-35 durometer hardness) provisionally standardised by us in our Standardisation Sheet E.3 have failed on 25.G.VI after 3,000 miles. Similar rubbers also on 8.B.V. (15,000 miles chassis) are also collapsing, therefore we must go back to the original block (E.87011) until a more flexible coupling has been proved to be satisfactory. Schemes being tried are SCB.804 larger dia. of rubbers, also a proprietary coupling from The Manganese Bronze Co. Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/Swdl.{Len H. Swindell} | ||
