R.R. 438 (24 v) (L.L. 255. 10.6.12) E.P. 1997. ROLLS-ROYCE LIMITED. INSTRUCTIONS. To: Mr Barrington Customer's No.: WR Writte Scribbles in top right: for brake, KRR / 26-12-19, 12-11-12 (crossed out) Ferodo lined foot-brake shoes. Run on 2100E car 1377 miles. x719 " " 2200 " 951 " The brakes are silent & smooth in action, the road wheels can be locked as easily as with the cast iron shoes. There is an objectionable smell that comes from the material when it gets very hot, this is worse when it is new. When used with flanged drum, there was a slight squeak & also the brake seized on, this we found to be due to insufficient clearance at the sides, we removed the flanges & these troubles disappeared. The material wears away much quicker Signed: (Contd) This Sheet must be filed on completion of the work. | ||
