MR BARRINGTON X719 4.10.12 2500 RE FORODO LINED FOOT-BRAKE. Hives reports as follows:- "The brake is silent and smooth in action, but the wheels can be locked quite as easily as with the cast iron liners, but it does not cure jaggers. Every time the brake is used there is an obnoxious smell & smoke that comes from the dressing in the Forodo The brake had to be adjusted twice on the road, this was mostly due to the liners bedding themselves. It will have to be run further to show up the wear. It should be tested with the 33' less leverage". Could we not use similar material as we found most satisfactory in our Plate clutch. Mr Medin I understand agreed to this. R.F. | ||
