R.R. 235 a (100 T) N.Y. 575. 16.4.19(G) 3254 X.2641. Dec.15th 1919. X.3428 - LAG IN ACTION OF ACTUATOR BOX. X.3748. X.2641. (a) Standard Actuator, Main Switch & Push Button Switch. Resistance of Main Switch coil cold = 9.0Ohms. Current to just cause full contact = .75 amps. Clearances conformed with the standard given. Resistance of Actuator coils = 4.27 ohms. Least current for "click on" = 1.45 amps. Motion at end of arm = .200" Force applied to end of arm to cause "click on" = 2 lb. 8 ozs. Actuator box and main switch were connected in parallel across a 12 volt battery. Current through actuator coils = 2.63 amp.turns = 3200 " " main switch coil = 1.20, Amp. turns = 1100 Maximum load lifted by actuator arm = 42 ozs. (coil cold). If push button contact made slowly, there is noticeable lag of actuator, when load on arm is 75% of maximum which actuator is capable of lifting. When load on arm is 92% of maximum, there is no pull on, if only the carbons of push button make contact. Contd. | ||
