Messrs. Rolls Royce, Ltd.,
DERBY.

Dear Sirs,

For the attention of Mr. West.

Re. Electric Petrol Gauge with Warning Light.

Further to your letter of the 19th inst., we have pleasure in enclosing herewith sketch drawing showing proposed tank unit suitable for your Bentley car.

This tank unit has been laid out on the lines of our aircraft type and we are adding the warning light contacts and terminal as supplied on the sample already in your possession. We should be glad if you would kindly let us know whether this arrangement meets with your approval.

We also understand from Mr. Manwaring that you would require the final design to incorporate the warning light terminal in a 4 plunger type of terminal block which would, of course, require a 4-way cable. We are going ahead with this design but it will be some little time before we can submit samples as 3 new moulds will be required for the bakelite parts. This type of moulding would be fitted with a similar type of bracket as on the enclosed blue print.

Awaiting your further comments which will receive our best attention, we are,

Yours faithfully,
For S. SMITH & SONS (MOTOR ACCESSORIES) LIMITED.
